Custom LED Lighting for Maximum Efficiency
Thorn Lighting developed a tailor-made solution featuring 46-watt recessed LED fittings, designed to provide uniform illumination with an average of 800 lux across sales floors. Moisture-proof Thorn ForceLED luminaires were installed in storage areas to enhance durability and efficiency. Emergency lighting systems were also upgraded to meet the latest regulatory standards. By implementing a full turnkey solution—including design, installation, and ongoing maintenance—Wilko ensured long-term operational efficiency.

With over 150,000 Thorn luminaires installed (set to reach 230,000 upon project completion), Wilko has achieved remarkable energy savings of up to 60% on sales floors and 70% when factoring in back-of-house areas. The total energy savings exceed 9,802 kWh, demonstrating the power of intelligent lighting design in retail.
